Business/Technical Challenge:
Web Developer has clients who are continually getting hacked; some with very aggressive Malware and Ransomware. This Web Developer referred us to his clients to recover files and resolve previously “unresolvable” issues. For one client in particular (who had no back up system), no other IT company had been able to decrypt the ransomware, telling the client it was impossible to fix.
Strategy Used:
Though we can’t get into the nitty-gritty, our plan was to regain control of the server, shutting down the hackers, and recovering and restoring files from the very aggressive ransomware without the company having to pay to get them back. We also needed to install the most current protection against future threats and set-up a file backup system.
Outcome of IT Execution:
We successfully regained control of the server, shut down the hackers, and recovered and restored all their files from the very aggressive ransomware. The company got all their information back and did not have to pay. We also installed the most current protection against future threats and set-up a file backup system. The continual protection we administered has provided many years with no security incidents that weren’t thwarted before they infiltrated their system.
Long term result:
This client and the referral network we have created with this web developer has provided many businesses with the IT trouble-shooting they need in order to stay profitable and secure. D’Rion Systems has been a huge help. I develop websites and so referred them to somebody whose business had been hacked and Jason was able to recover the files from a very aggressive Ransomware and restore the office files, for which there was no backup for them which is something that most Security Pros were saying was not possible.
